As a full-time dentist, wife, and mom to a spirited toddler, I know firsthand the challenges of balancing a demanding career with the joys (and chaos!) of family life. But I also believe that travel is an essential part of a well-rounded life, and it shouldn’t have to be sacrificed just because you have kids.
That’s why I created Truly Dawn – to help you navigate the world of family travel with confidence, even if you’re juggling a hectic schedule. Whether you’re dreaming of a relaxing beach vacation, an adventurous road trip, or an exciting international escape, I’m here to provide you with the tools and inspiration you need to make it happen.
Where It All Started
My love for travel started long before I became a mom. My husband and I have always been drawn to exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. In fact, we took our first cruise together back in 2023, while I was pregnant with our little one!
That trip ignited a spark in us, and we knew that we wanted to share our passion for travel with our future children. We envisioned family adventures filled with laughter, discovery, and unforgettable memories.
Traveling With Our Baby
Fast forward to 2024, and our little family embarked on our first big adventure – a 24-hour road trip from Texas back home to Maryland. With a 4-month-old in tow, we were definitely a bit apprehensive. Would he be fussy in the car? Would we be able to stick to his nap schedule? Would we survive the endless hours on the road?
But you know what? It turned out to be an amazing experience! We learned so much about traveling with a baby, and we discovered that with a little flexibility and a lot of patience, it’s definitely possible to have a successful (and even enjoyable!) road trip with a little one.
That trip solidified our love for family travel, and we haven’t looked back since. We’ve taken our little adventurer on three flights, and we’re eagerly anticipating our first family cruise in September!
